Mornings Lately

We're wrapping up my second week alone with both kids. It's not as terrifying as I thought it would be and, in fact, we're developing some nice routines. Mornings are my favorite.

I don't think co-sleeping or a family bed is right for our family, but I am a big fan of family snuggles first thing in the morning. When Steven goes to work Luke climbs into my bed with a book or his ipad and he sits quietly while I feed Josie. If everything goes well I can lay Josie next to me and get another 30 minutes of sleep snuggled up with my babies. OK, Luke doesn't actually snuggle with me, but he'll at least let me hold his foot or stroke his back. Whatever I can get.


One morning, Luke was still a little sleepy and he laid down to share a pillow with his sister. As tired as I was, I had to grab my phone to take a picture before I drifted back to sleep - and before they grow up and start screaming at each other.

Could they be any cuter?

    You will also need documented evidence that they actually liked/tolerated each other at one point, so when they do start screaming at one another you can pull this photo out.
