Shame On You, Target, Shame On You

Yesterday I went to Target to buy some fat pants yoga pants to wear for bumming around the house. After trying on a few styles I found some that were not entirely unflattering. The good news? They're super comfortable. The bad news? They're size XXL. In my defense, I could fit into the XL, but they showed too much panty line. I admit I'm bigger than I would like to be, but I'm not the biggest woman in the world - not by a long shot.

So my question is this - How are plus-sized ladies supposed to exercise if places like Target don't sell work-out wear in their size?

P.S. I've had this post swirling in my head for 4 days, but it is amazing how hard it is to get 30 minutes with my laptop with a newborn in the house.

  1. I know what you mean. I feel the same way buying maternity clothes. It's like they make them for all skinny chics who only get a little bump. If a girl needs an XL pre-preg (like myself), they don't need short shorts and shirts that are too tight in the arms and chest. They need the size they normally need and a little extra room. It frustrates me. I finally found Destination Maternity and they carry stuff (cute stuff even) for all sizes. It's nice as I want to look as nice as I can no matter how huge I get (which I imagine is going to be pretty huge). I am glad you found something. I am surprised you needed an XL as you are not big. I don't know what girls do that are actually big if they want to workout. I guess they are supposed to stay big or go on the Biggest Loser. ;)
